The Market and Opportunity
The gaming industry is colossal, as reported by the BBC, the games industry is bigger than the music and film industry combined. With a global turnover of $184.4bn in 2022, with compound annual rate of growth forecast at over 10.2% from 2022 to 2030.
The market is segmented with numerous businesses competing. While there are some 9000 games published annually across the whole industry, less than 50 of the 9000 are AAA games in the PC/Console segment. Of those 50, very few are new original ideas, instead they are the next iteration in long running sagas. SKC’s Project UN is new and original, the opportunity to be disruptive and successful in this market is immense.
Team/Management
SKC Games Studio already employs 18 people working on the project, some full-time and some part-time. The management team itself consists of people with a combined experience of over 100 years in the gaming industry, delivering over 120 games to market. This includes many AAA games generating over $100m revenue and includes titles such as Destiney, Grand Theft Auto, Deus Ex, Star Wars and other well known titles. Team members have also won 30+ national & international Awards, are BAFTA winners and member of the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain.
Project Development to Date
The story line for the first project in the franchise has already been written. The project is coming to the end of pre-production phase. The pre-production phase consists of a vertical slice of one of the mission lines to prove out technologies, quality, and game play mechanics. The key characters have been created and animation integration into the engine has been proven. Three gameplay environments have been created which includes one real-time procedurally created metaverse. Our pioneering SKC NPC AI Character Engine is ready. The next steps are to publish the first Alpha release to early adopters while continually issuing new game updates throughout 2024.
